ELIZABETH ARDEN BEAUTIFUL COLOUR LIPSTICKS COLLECTION [REVIEW]

I’ve always been one to envy boldly coloured lips! And so I should – perfectly dressed puckers are so 2017!

Neutral statement lips during the day are such a game changer and I am totally feeling the berry tones this year a night time Wintery look.

With having beautifully coloured lips, comes the confidence to step foot outside and show them off, which every one of us should totally make our own and be proud to have such gorgeous colours flaunting about on our smoochers!

Today I am going to be giving you the 411 on my thoughts on the Elizabeth Arden “Day to Date Colour Collection” range, and let me just say that I am absolutely loving them! I have chosen 2 day colours, and 2 night colours from the collection.

I have always been a fan of Elizabeth Arden themselves, but their lipsticks just take it to an entire different level, not to mention the beautiful gold tube packaging that these babies come in. Could the look of these lipsticks be anymore chic? In my opinion, they are just simply gorgeous!

My two “Day colours” are Desert Rose 17 and Iced Grape 36. Both are neutral colours, suitable for a day time look, and LETS BE HONEST, a girl can never get enough neutrals, or at least I can’t!

Both of these shades are infused with moisture rich pigments which leave your lips feeling soft and smooth all day and provide long lasting colour, which is fabulous! A secret ingredient of Volulip helps to seal in moisture which also helps in creating lips of a fuller and plump nature. Long lasting colour for a glamorous look is always a winner in my books!

Desert Rose 17 is the lighter of the two “Day” coloured lipsticks. It has a gold shimmer and a subtle hint of pink in the works, with a Pearl finish. If you love shimmer and pinky undertones, then this colour is for you!

Deset Rose – Has to be one of my favorites!

My second “Day” colour is Iced Grape 36. This colour is a tad darker and has a way of defining the lips with a single swipe of colour. This is my absolute favourite colour from this Beautiful Colour Collection. It’s simple and soft, but subtly makes a statement.

For my two “Night” colours, I have chosen Ultra Violet 40 and Raspberry 48. Both are bold colours, perfect for a date night. YIPPEE! Not only do they make a statement, but they are simple and a classic way to brighten up any night time make up look.

Ultra Violet 40 is the darker colour of the two. This colour has a deeper plum shade and is the perfect accessory for a little black dress. It has deep purple undertones and has a shimmery finish. These lipsticks are long wear so be prepared to find your lips stained in the darker shades, for a while. I absolutely love the Ultra Violet 40 shade. If you’re feeling bold and daring on a night out, then this one’s for you!

My second “night” colour is Raspberry 48. This colour has an undertone of the, well, the raspberry type. In my opinion, it is a little lighter than the Ultra Violet 40, but is definitely more on the darker pink side of life.

Both are equally as beautiful and chic. Naked puckers are never attractive, so be sure to dress those girls up in one of these shades for a night out on the Town.

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO RANGE [REVIEW & COMPETITION]

Good hair days, bad hair days – we ALL have them! Some, much more than others, but alas, those days of naughty locks that don’t listen to your hairy demands happen to the best of us.

If you’re anything like me when it comes to your fur, then you’d agree that your hair can either make or break your look of the day, or night – whichever tickles your pickle.

Thankfully though, for those bad hair days, we no longer need to put our noggin strands in the naughty corner for misbehaving. We simply just refresh them with Batiste dry shampoo. And trust me, with this, it completely encourages your hair to have a new and improved attitude for the day – HOW FABULOUS!

Besides transforming your hair to look clean and fresh and full of volume, these babies’ come in super yummy fragrances too! Today I have chosen my top 3 Batiste dry shampoo fragrances to chat about with you guys.

Up first, we have the Coconut & Exotic Tropical Fragrance. Sounds islandy, right? And yes, this totally smells like a holiday in a can! My favourite part (besides the smell) is the super cute packaging. Flamingos, palm trees and tropical leaves are all spread out over a bright yellow background. FYI – we all know that yellow is a happy colour, so you can only imagine how fabulous it leaves you feeling!

Next up is the Floral and Flirty Blush Fragrance – talk about girl power! I love how fresh and dainty this one smells – and just look at those pink hearts on the bottle! Expect super flowery scents through the snout with whisps of petals and roses. How romantic, but of course, let your hair do the flirting while getting those boys to flock at your feet with such delicious looking locks! You can thank Batiste later!

Lastly, we have the Clean and Classic Original. This one is, well…clean, and yes…classic. It has a fresh powdery scent and is, well…an original too! One of my favourite things about Batiste is that their products are vegan and totally cruelty free! How delightful!

CHOCOLATE OVERNIGHT OATS [RECIPE]

AHHH yes, I’m back again with yet ANOTHER breakfast recipe. I have been going through my blog over the last couple of days and have realised that breakfast recipes are TOTALLY my thing, as I tend to post a ton of these! So with that being said, I think it’s only fair to share my chocolatey morning oats discovery with you, topped with banana, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries with a dollop of peanut butter and dark chocolate chips – YUMMY!

OATS (enough for 1 serving of oats)

½ cup raw rolled oats
¾ cup almond milk/milk (I used Almond Breeze)
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp cocoa powder
a squeeze of agave nectar (for sweetness)
½ tsp vanilla essence

TOPPINGS (OPTIONAL)

1 banana
a handful of blueberries
a handful of blackberries
2 strawberries
a few almonds
1 tsp peanut butter (I used Wholefoods peanut butter)
1 tsp dark chocolate chips

OATS:

To prepare this delicious brekkie, your oats will need to be made the night before and left in the fridge overnight to set. Add all of your oats ingredients listed above, mix and pour into a bowl, glass, mug or whichever display jar tickles your pickle for the morning of devouring. I know, it can be a tad stressful to decide how a beautiful breakfast should be served, but once a decision has arisen, pop into the fridge and let your oats stand overnight. Fresh toppings to be added in the morning.

Although, sometimes, one might prefer to add toppings the night before. This makes it easier to add a lid onto your jar of oats and allows for a quick grab out the fridge and off to work at whichever ungodly hour escaping needs to occur– yip, this happens to the best of us! This way, you can feel more human eating breakfast when the sun comes up – WINNING!

TOPPINGS:

Add the toppings from the list above (cut your banana and strawberries into slithers) and plonk on top of your set oats, in the morning, or evening – whichever floats your boat.
